|

Anybody ever encounter trouble installing the fuser upgrade kit? We have a 3000 that started eating fuser drive gears and after installing the kit, the machine makes more noise than before. The fuser pressure has been backed off and there's no trouble turning the fuser section manually. However....there does seem to be more play between how the gears mesh up than there should be. There's no physical adjustment to make though. Everything is in a fixed position. |

I have found several problems with the fuser upgrade kit one more fuser drive gears breaking. but the most problem is the bearing coming apart and eatting up the shaft. I replace it with the oil lite bearings and if I am getting noise out of the fuser I have shim the fuse up closer to the drive gear. if you go back to the oil lite bearing and don't have the old frame that you swap out you have to leave the e-clip between the inside oil lite bearing the gear. work fine with clip out.
