When you replace a charge wire, check the spring tab on the left side to make sure it hasn't bent away from the charge unit too much. Had this happen and it took out an LED head. I now make it a standard procedure to bend this "up" so the charge unit has a positive ground. When you push "down" on the charge unit when mounted and the LED assembly is in the service position (up), it should spring right back up.
The metal used for this spring appears to be chromed mild steel, not spring steel.
