We sold a 3000 to a surveyor. I think we have been over for service calls at least 50 times. Since they got it they have smashed the scanner hinges, smashed a ccd on the scanner, cut grooves in the cover, and run the levelers up too high on one side and it spilled toner everywhere.

They are running old sepias thru it and they come out bad. The machine jams and they leave it and place a service call. They even called KIP and told them they wanted a new machine because theirs is a lemon. KIP even sent a tech down to assess the machine. It was in fine condition. The problem is that the customer does not adjust any settings after being told that it has to be adjusted depending on the original type.

Friday they called me. They said that the machine would not power on. I went over and the machine was on and a piece of paper was hanging out of the fuser. I cleared the jam and it works fine.

I am about to pull my hair out. I have gone out of my way to train and be nice to these people, but I have no patience left. How do you tell the customer that they are the lemon?

thanks jay

And I forgot to add. Friday I get there and there is a sticky note on the touchscreen that says " do not change any settings"
