This customer had computer problems yesterday. Today, the KIP is having a run-time error 5. Anyone seen this before? User interface won't open. Thanks in advance. _________________ long days and pleasant nights... |

Well, it seems the customer went into the diagnostics folder and tried to restore. However, he restored it to a KIP 5000. This will cause the run-time error. I restored it to a KIP 3000 and everything works great. _________________ long days and pleasant nights... |

Funny you should mention this error, I have had a KIP 3000 go down twice with the same error. I reformatted the IPS with a CD and it worked for a month and did it again. I was suspecting a hard drive crash. They touch screen and IPS completely freeze up and you can do nothing. There is also reference to a request file being corrupt that I cannot remember. If anyone else has experienced this please advise as I need to fly 2 hours to this remote location and would like to hear of other solutions. _________________ Everytime something is made idiot proof... the world creates a better idiot! |

If it is a white controller, replace it. It seems like they all were rigged with time bombs. I have had 4 explode. |
