I was getting the same error everytime I try to run KIPScan or Copymaker. The "No Local Data" was all over the screen then I would get the "In Set Scan Mode 1: Error Code= 0x0001". I would have to close out of them using Task Manager. Then I found out I had a separate issue with direct copy. With the 48 pin cable connected directly from scanner to printer, if I tried to make a copy, Unattend would lose role information and indicate "Printer not available" and "Printer is Busy or in Copy Mode". If I shut down and restart only Unattend, I get the "Printer Not Available" red screen on the controller. If I reboot the printer, then it would connect again. Here's the thing. If I disconnect this direct copy cable, I am able to use KIPScan and Copymaker with no issues and I can close and restart Unattend with no issues. But customer wants direct copy, software says that it is a hardware issue. I know its been a while since your post, so if you've come up with a solution that might help me, please post. Thanks.
Customer had a 2080 scanner for the last 4 years with no issue to scan or copy. Just installed the 2200 this past Friday. |

Sometimes you just have to look for the not-so-obvious. I just had one with the same error. Turned out to be the USB connection. Housekeepping moved the computer and tugged just hard enough to disconnect the USB, but not pull it out of the computer. Connection looked fine, but wasn't communicating. Check your USB connections and cables before getting too deep into the unit.
