keep getting this error on an older beige 3000 controller. The screen boots and then locks up with distortion on the screen. From researching it looks like a video driver error. I get blue screens and infinite loop errors. I have uninstalled the driver reinstalled the driver, downgraded the driver and nothing works, but booting into vga mode. Has anyone seen this? I have a spare spare 3000 I could use the controler from to get them running, but he is not under contract and wont sign one. If i do that I will probably never get the controller back. I think that something is wrong with the integrated video card. I have ghosted 5 times and still the same thing. Any other suggestions or is the customer going to have to shell out for a new controller? Or can I find a new motherboard and still get keycodes for it?
Help would be great. Customer is not one of the nicest in the world and I am getting very frustrated.
Thanks
.

Check out the topic : "Touchscreen shows garbled image...."
I'm sure you are having the same issue. If he is not a contract customer, I would tell him to purchase a new IPS. I think KIP did away with the white IPS. Go check out the Tech Bulletin TB-K105-052b. This might be helpful. Last I remember, the IF card is where the keycodes reside, not on the motherboard. That's why, in the past, you could order a new PPEC without the IF card, so that you could use the same keycodes. But check out the other topic and let me know how it goes. |

Thanks,
That is what we are going to do. I managed to get the machine printing by booting in vga mode, but the kip gui doesn't fit the screen and the machine still doesn't work correctly. Any resolution change locks the IPS up. The customer was happy for now that at least they can print. |
