The mod kit that came out for the fuser unit where you change out the house and switch from oil lite bushing to a ball bearing. Am I the only one have problem with this mod I am finding the bearing falling apart and riping out the gear. Lucky I save all the oil lite bushing. and I can put the old bushing back in.

| we have had 2 of them we upgraded that ripped up the new plastic gear (one was twice). we wanted to swap back to the original metal gear but we cant find them, as we probably tossed the out |

| No you are not the only one. I must have had 10 of these fail with the new gear and what do you know i put the old one back in, gald i kept them. |

| I had one the other day that the bearing wore the shaff down I had to replace the bearring with oillite bushing like they had and a new shaff I have kept it and I going to send it to kip area service manager |

| I believe this is addresed in another thread, but we have had better luck with the mod kits by lowering the fuser pressure slightly. |
