I responded to a service call expecting to install thrust washers or to perform some sort of field modification. Upon initial inspection noticed that the top gear was not turning at all. So I proceeded to remove the left side cover and found that the square key had completely fallen out of the shaft and pulley that drives the paper feed. The set screw was still in the pulley so it was an easy fix. Since then I have found two more 3000's with loose set screws. By the way all three units were installed last summer.
