The scan preview looks fine but scans/prints are very light. All over the entire page is light ....I'd say atleast 75% of the image is washed out completely. And the other 25 % is there but just washed out looking. It will print correctly. Its only happening during scanning. I have reseated the memory in the scanner, and checked the routing/connection of the scanner cable to the controller. Any thoughts?

Nevermind.....turns out that it was only happening on one original. That original had a 3 inch black border and a 12" x 16" black area at the leading edge of the scan. turned org around and the problem is fixed.
