At the risk of sounding even more stupid than usual, what is this Metaprint, what does it actually do, does it really matter to anyone except a printshop?

Is there an aditional cost for this? Can it be turned off or removed?

Why would I want to give my customer something that makes it easier for them to send out for printing? Sort of runs counter to my purpose.

thanks to all

It's just like ReproDesk or Request or any of those printing clients. You select your files and send them to the printer. You'll have to pay for this software.

Request does most everything it does but it has the ability to cross platforms. So if a customer is running Oce, Xerox and Kip they can print to all devices with one client.
