Here are the details:

When using the Color Copy mode, the KIP (both 3000 & 5000) will scan the document and show you the preview, then the preview will disappear but no copy will print on the iPF700.

- When the process works properly, the Start button on the KIP GUI will go from saying "Scanning" to saying "Copy 1".
- When the failure occurs, the Start button on the KIP GUI will go from saying "Scanning" straight to saying "Start".
- When the failure occurs, the Canon iPF700 will wake up if it is in sleep mode, so we know that some data is being sent to the Canon.
- The problem is intermittent
- It happens on both the KIP 5000 and the KIP 3000 with each machine printing to a different iPF700
- It happens when copying to the Canon iPF700, but not the HP4000
- It happens when we are connected to the network and when we are connected directly via a crossover cable
- The problem gives the most consistent failures with small (11x17 or smaller) originals, but has given us failures with larger originals.

Thanks in advance.

Any help would be appreciated.

John,

So both devices are on the same subnet?

I have successfully made copies using several KIP 3000/5000 and several iPF700s. Perhaps you should re-do the calibration setup.

Been there done that as they say,New software now at 6.5.
Kip does'nt know what the solution is. When scanning to print to the HP 4000 in color no problem.

We have found that in mono copy mode if you have the sets option on this will cause the color copy not to work properly.
So check to see if the set copy mode is on when you hit the color copy button, if it is I would be willing to bet that if you turn it off it should cure the problem.
