|
|
I have several machines out in the field and most are developing a problem with a haze line on "every first print out of the machine" its about 4" down from the top and a 1/2" thick; onlyl occurs one time per print. Any other prints that come out of the machine after the first are all perfect. The thing that gets me is some machines at install are running perfectly, and then out of no where the problem pops up. On some machines it has happened from the beginning. _________________ I fix the KIP with an Irish wrench |

I have re-adjusted the dev assy pressure, with no change. I strarted playing with the voltages and found that if i adjust the positive cleaning voltage on print cycle to about 700v, and negative cleaning voltage on toner collection to about 500v, this seems to make the image problem dissappear. This info has been given to kip and should be making its way into production machines _________________ I fix the KIP with an Irish wrench |

I too have this problem and have tried all of the following:
Pressurized the developer
cleaned the charge and separation corona wires
cleaned the mylar strip under the drum
re leveled the machine
Checked all the voltages on the HV PBA
adjusted the on timing and off timing
Problem is still there. Any ideas?
Thanks |

After checking everything and jumping through all sorts of hoops i changed the DC control Board and upgraded the firmware to the latest version and the line went away. Don't know what caused it to go away but when i put the board in a machine in the office that was working the machine started doing all sorts of crazy things so i am inclined to think it was the chip more so then the board. |
