One of our customers has a kip 3000 that has been giving them trouble with their 30" rolls for a couple weeks now and i can't seem to figure out what is causing the problem. the pages are cut crooked, and alternate which side is cut longer ( 1/4" to 3/8"difference ). also the problem follows the 30" roll if i move it to the second spindle. after input from kip i have brillianized the crap out of the inside, made sure the cutter is level, replaced the registration clutch, and also the main feed clutch on the side of the drawer. thank you in advance for any help, it is greatly appreciated.

Does the machine run 36" ok?
Take the plastic cover off the front of the roll drawer. Run a 30" wide print. You should see the paper develop an "bubble" in the paper flow just above the cutter, behind the crossmember of the frame that is just above where the drawer closes. the bubble will be pushed out towards you, or the front of the machine. I assume this bubble is not occuring. The reason for it is to allow the cutter to cross while the paper is not moving.. (the bubble goes away when the roll stops driving.. allowing the cutter to cut the paper while not moving.. at the same time the print is still being made... I hope that makes sense...
Registration clutch is normally the culprit here... check that you are getting a proper signal to the reg clutch.
