I have a KIP3002 that will occasionally print out a dirty, ~1mm thick, line 100 mm from the lead edge. this line is not fully formed and does not always go continuously across the 24 / 36 width of the paper. It does not happen every time, but when it does happen it is always the same 100mm from L.E. It happens on copies, prints, engine prints. <10k on box. _________________ Thanks

Pop up the process unit. Get a clean white rag. Clean the back side of the clear film strip that rides just in front of the drum. Not the one on the Transfer unit. This ones up with the drum. You'll see it. A buildup of toner will collect between this film strip and the drum causing the line you see. _________________ Neil Johnston
