7170K dropping letters on D size, in the "logo" area lower right.
Customer said "it just started doing it". I'm almost certain it is
a customer software issue. I don't see these things enough to be
an expert.
They will print, the logo bottom right is a black box, with the company
name. Random letters on each print job drop out. The software was
written for them, not off the shelf. Documents are PDF. I'm trying to
get them to send me a copy of one, but due to the nature of their business,
probably not gonna happen.

Any suggestions? _________________ 39 years in the small format business, large format since 2009. Toshiba D.A.T.E. trainer. |

Have you tried making it a tiff file and changing it back to a pdf and try printing it. If this works they are not saving their files right. If it still drops off try printing from the driver or KIP Print. Not sure if they have tried from both or not. |

Yeah, I am kind of thinking that they haven't flattened the file. I've requested them to send me one of their files, but due to the nature of their business, not sure how that will work. I use photoshop a LOT and if you don't flatten the image before you print, it won't look correct, depending on the layers. _________________ 39 years in the small format business, large format since 2009. Are they printing using the windows driver or printing though
ImagePro or PrintPro.
If printing through the windows driver make sure in the properties it set to
Pscript (PS) and not GL.
If printing with ImagePro or PrintPro go into the setting and turn in the missing font warning and see what happens when you send a print. |
