Does anyone know if a KIP 7000 Drum is the same as a KIP 7700 Drum ?
Please advise!

I've never had a KIP7000 but if you google the KIP7000 drum, there are a few online stores that sell the drum and in the description it says that it's compatible with the 7700/7900. |

It's been a long time, but I had an account at a military base that had a 7900 and a 7700 side by side. It seems to me that when they took one of them off contract they wanted me to move the better drum from one to the other and there was something about the way it mounted in that prevented swapping drums.
I suspect the drums are the same but each model has different end bells on that prevents you from moving a drum to a different model.
I could be wrong. |

Arlen, if you search SUP7700-101 on KIP's Store, it says that it's for both the 7700 and 7900. Edit: "Sorry Arlen, I reread what I wrote and it seemed a little harsh. I was just letting you know what I found out, wasn't trying to sound like an A$$hole...my bad."
PPCPete: I see that the 7700/7900 drums are a couple hundred dollars cheaper than the KIP7000 drum. Like I said, a few websites indicate that the 7000/7700/7900 are the same drum. I guess the most reputable website would be Item Inc. and they list the KIP7000 drum as compatible with the 7700/7900 and also cheaper than KIP website unless you're a dealer. |
