Customer complains that when he scans the first sheet will travel completely through the scanner. No image comes up on the screen, and the GUI screen shows the uploading arrows moving in the upper right. While in this condition you can't navigate away or do anything else. The only way to clear it is to turn the machine off then power up again after the IPS has shut down. Over the years I've seen this, but never worried about it as shutting down the machine clears it and it doesn't seem to return anytime soon afterwards. This machine is producing the problem multiple times this past week. Any ideas? |

I think the scanner is getting too hot and basically locking up. Try taking out the air filters below the scanner and clean them with a can of air. |

Sounds like the scanner main board has failed. i can tell you that KIP no longer stocks the PCA. I would start looking for one if the customer plans to keep the printer. I guess to cover the bases reseat all the connections to the PCA but I've never had any luck with that. _________________ Regards,
