A well established wide format sales and service provider in Mobile Alabama seeks a technician with a proven record of problem-solving to join our team. This position is not the run of the mill service tech job as it will ultimately lead to the hiree transitioning into the position of area service manager. The applicant must at a minimum be familiar with repair methods for single component wide format printers such as the Xerox 6204 and KIP 7170. An understanding of Inkjet systems such as HP T1300 and the Canon IP710 would be helpful as well. Organizational skills such as a good understanding of the use of Excel, Word and Outlook will be very useful to the successful candidate. Good computer repair and installation skills will be helpful. The hiree will spend a good deal of time assisting customers and inhouse clients with problems both on-site and by phone so patience and customer service skills are a must. Driving to and from customer locations is a requirement so the hiree must have their own vehicle as well as a valid Alabama drivers license. As the hiree will be working with large machines with heavy modules that will require occasional removal so the ability to lift 50 pounds will be necessary. The work week is Monday through Friday 8 to 5. Pay is hourly and dependent upon experience. Mileage is paid for all service related mileage to and from work location. Commissions paid on all monthly and annual maintenance agreement renewals after 6 months of continuous employment. Commissions paid on time and materials tickets after 6 months of continuous employment. Paid KIP certified training will be provided after 6 months of continuous employment.
