I went to a call on a Kip7170K with 1.0 software where the User Interface would never fully boot. I did a Ghost image to 1.4. That completed successfully, but when it went to boot for the first time, I got a Windows error that winload.efi was missing or corrupt. I tried reghosting, but I never could get to the screen to GO start the Ghost. I even tried a 1.0 restore DVD and I could never get the Ghost to start again. I have ordered a new 1.6 restore DVD and I am going to put a new HDD in to see if that is the problem. I brought the controller back to my office. Has anyone figured out a way to power up the new SystemK controllers without a machine present?

Thanks!

You'll need the DC power supply

I have found just plugging in a PC power supply of 440W + directly to the motherboard works to do diagnostics at the office. I used one from the KIP 7100 IPS to do a restore and HDD upgrade and worked like clockwork. Just have to make sure you plug in the 12v and the 4 pin by the CPU.
