After the last firmware update both of our pagewides started throwing this error. One corrected itself and the other resisted a solution. Long story short the page length data wasn't being written correctly. HP support, after 2 hours, stumbled into the cause of the fault. The page length adjustment under optimize quality/advanced has to be run as a manual adjustment. It took several attempts until the value was written correctly. When Pagewides are running they're great. When they go down they are a major PIA.
Kudos to the HP support engineer for sticking with the troubleshooting until the issue was corrected.
