new drum, new mc assembly..
The image is on the drum - not a fuser issue.
so the image will stop transferring to the paper after 20" or so of printing.. then it starts transferring again after about 24" of non transfer.
The area of void is about 6' wide.. only happens on left side of print.
started happeneing when tech replaced drum.. i checked that he closed the rotating lock mechanism all the way.
Any ideas?
can't get image to load.. if any experts want to PM me an email - i'd be happy to email a pic of the image. |

we took the pressure roller and flipped it around.. no change.
the image is on the drum but is not transfering to the paper. the missing image starts after about 25" and contiues on down the print.. The image is generally quite cloudy on the left side of the print.. not sharp.
we did clean LED. The paper does look a little bubbled up in the machine when we stop mid print. the print does not track off to the right or left much at all when coming out of the machine.
Made sure the pressure brackets for fuser presser were making good connection to the clam shell frame arms.. swapped transfer assy. made sure drum was seated properly.
all thoughts are appreciated.. |

I had something similar on a 7100. Couldn't lock drum collars with a full turn, if I did it wouldn't be flush to the frame with no gap. Had to back the collars off just a hair to get them flush. Instantly took care of my image problem. |
