I had a noisy cooling fan above the power supply and replaced it with a generic of the same voltage however the current draw is .17A as opposed to the original fan which consumed .13A. Both fans are physically the same size and both 24V. After turning on the power to the scanner the fans come on and it starts to boot with a flashing green light then shuts down. I must remove the power cord for at least 30 seconds before it will boot again. I have another customer that states at times they cannot connect to their scanner at times. I wonder if these problems are related. Could this be a fan issue or something completely different. Any ideas are appriciated

thanks Rob

If you disconnect the fan does it stay powered up?

Usually it one of the cooling fans is out usually it's the one above the power supply. There is a Tech Tip regarding this for the 2200 scanners.
