Last week we went to a customer and tried updating the Firmware, but for some reason, we were using the 7170's firmware. Now the machine seems dead, we got a E-0050 CPLD Configuration error and meter and nothing shows up.
I downloaded all the .MOT files for the 7100 and I'm planning on going back with a new DC Controller, but hoping ReImaging the HD with the recover disk and loading all the 7100's firmware may bring it back.
Has anyone else had this happen?

I did a firmware update on a 7170 a had a power outage in the middle of it. The machine was basically bricked at that point. I contacted Kip and was told I needed to replace the board Luke you are planning on doing. I did a little digging and found that the board has factory firmware that you can restore the board to. After doing so you are able to update the firmware. One additional thing you will need to do is enter the scanner serial number into the controller. If you have trouble locating the instructions let me know and I will see if I can find them again.

Thank you, I would like those instructions going forward, but I did replace the board but kept the old one.
Thank you.
