We recently purchased a used 7100, the options available to us are only copy feature. We obtained the original keycodes for the serial number of this machine which show all options however when input into the machine keycodes they do not enable the options. Upon further discovery we suspect the ips may have been replaced or worked on [missing screws from case etc]
How do we we move forward to enable the orignal keycode [options] to work in this instance? or will obtaining new keycodes for this machine be sufficient, slightly confused as to the requirements needed to be met for keycodes. thx in advance. |

You'll most likely have to contact KIP and give them your situation. Give them the serial number of the machine and the IPS number and they can probably match it up to see if that's the original controller. |

Cheers , and if it's a different controller, can anything be done? bearing in mind we are not an official Kip dealer? |

If it's a different controller, then it'll be up to KC3 to provide you with the keycodes to that controller. Personally, I don't think they would charge you, as they are only providing the keycode information that is already attached to that controller. BUT, if you come to find out that the controller does not have all the options that you want/need, you will probably have to pay to upgrade the keycodes.
Or if you find out that the controller is the original one and the keycodes do not work and you said it looks like the controller had been "worked on". I don't think KIP can help you there, without payment.
My thought is that if the seller "advertised" that the keycodes for Network Printing, STF, Color STF or any other keycodes were enabled and it is not, I don't think "as is" should apply. But that's just my opinion. |

In the past KIP would not provide the keycodes if you weren't a dealer. Maybe you can locate a dealer in your area that would help you with this. _________________ Regards,
