Anyone install the 2200 Color Scanner on a Win 7 32 bit box ? What drivers are you using Window 2000 or XP or is there a new driver ?
I have it installed and its in Devices under Control Pannel and the Kip Color 1.5 is loaded but when i try to fire the software up
it won't open only i get a error # 216 " General protection fault " at address $008a1ceb! in Kip Color.exe read of address 0000000
access violation at 008a1ceb in module kip color.exe
Any ideas ?
Thanks

I have not tried this so this may not help. But here are the standard changes to try to get any problem XP software to run on Win 7:
Start with turning off UAC (start button - at the bottom of the list is "search programs and files" - type "UAC" - "change user account control settings" set the slider to "never notify"
Then in the properties of the .exe, set it to always run as administrator. Also try running in XP compatibility mode.
Microsoft made some drastic changes to how things work with Win 7 and some XP software simply will not run correctly. _________________ Any ideas expressed are figments of my imagination.

And try the UAC settings first, then run it as administrator. Having an exe run as administrator is a pain and should be avoided if possible. _________________ Any ideas expressed are figments of my imagination.

Was it ever founded if the 2200 software can be installed on Win7? I have one customer that is still using an XP box to run the software but I recall that the 2200 software was not compatible with Win7. Anyone know any different? |
