Has anyone come across this issue where periodically the printer will say OFFLINE for no reason? |

IF you shut off your KIP when not in use (as some customer's do) and it is set to DHCP for IP configuration. Another device that is also set to DHCP, may pick up the same IP when the KIP is off, then when you turn it on, it'll be offline because it looks for the IP that it was set too. If this is the case, and you cannot use a static IP, ask your IT to "reserve" that IP for the KIP, so that no other device may "catch" that while the printer is off. |

Thanks! |

I would check the motherboard in the IPS for bloated caps. |

Where does this show? Offline would or should only show on the Printer Properties of the Windows driver.
If this is the case, then I would go with Dlee and look at the IP address issue.
Are you able to make a copy? Does this customer use KIP Request and if so, does it print?
Other things to look at:
1. Is this customer trying to use SNMP? If so, then the printer will show Offline through the Windows driver.
2. If this printer is on a different network segment (collision domain), then it is possible that a network policy might be preventing network traffic on port 8421. _________________ **************************************
