Hi all.

Have an issue with this 3000. This has a brand new IPS black case 7.2 when you shut the kip off and turn it on the IPS stays off you need y to manually push the button on the IPS to get it to power on. There is a bulletin on making changes in the bios but it looks completely different . not the same power options so I'm very confused , i told customer not to power off for the time being. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

It is a bios setting. You just need to go through all the power options or advanced power options to fins the one that allows it to power up after a power failure. Below are the settings for two of the MB's that the 3000 uses. Hope that helps.

3000 had 2 main Bio settings for the 865 & the 945
Motherboards depending on which controller you have.
These are the settings KIP sent me.

865 you need to set the following
Standard CMOS Setting
Set time and date
Advanced BIOS Feature
SMART for Hard Disks = Enabled

Advanced Chipset Feature
Internal Graphics Mode Select = 1mb
Power Management Feature
Restore on AC/Powerloss = Power On
PNP/PCI Configuration
PCI IDE Busmaster = Enabled
Internal Peripherals
AC Integrated Audio = Disabled

945 These are the settings
Standard CMOS Features
Set Time and Date
Halt On = No Errors
Advanced Chipset Features
On Chip Frame Buffer Size = 1mb
DVMT/Fixed Memory Size = 128mb
Integrated Peripherals
Onboard Device
Azalia AC97/Audio Select = Disabled
1394 = Disabled
Power Management Setup
ACPI Suspend Type = S3(STR)
USB KB Wake Up From S3 = Enabled
Power Up From Power Fail = On

All the best,

Jeff
