Ok so I know you can change how each meter reads, in square feet or square meters, linear feet etc. I have done this on 8000's. However I looked in the 9000 service doc and of course the info in sub mode 5 is grayed out as is 6. Not to mention the info is rather vague on how and what number means what? We have two 9000's and one is set correctly, the other is not and I need it to read in square feet and linear feet so I can capture the meters via Printerpoint. Can someone clarify the Kip 9000 meter set up please??

In my manual on PDF page 574 and KIP Page 8-49 it describes what each setting is for the meters.

On my manual the text is Gray however I believe this just means KIP is suggesting this is a Factory Setting and for the USA should not be changed from default.

I don't believe it means you cannot change it. I believe you can change it.

I have never tried this on the 9000 and since we no longer have one as they were all upgraded to 9900's I cannot confirm this.

Hi John. Here are the settings you need to change.
00 = 36 (This sets the meters to inches)
05 = 0 (This sets meter A to liner Ft.)
06 = 1 (This sets meter B to Sq. Ft.)
Hope this helps. I see you are in Texas, What part? I am in Houston.
