|
|
I have about 5 different versions of the KIP WPD. I was at a non-contract customer's site. They have a 3000 running 6.5. They have only one workstation running Win7. When I click on any of the .exe to run/install a WPD, I either get a message that says "WPD is bad" or the pop-up "Do you allow this program to make changes....", if I click "YES", the window goes away but nothing happens afterwards. I even tried to right-click, run as administrator and the user says he is the admin, but no dice....
Request installed perfectly fine, so I'm not sure what's going on here. I've never had an issue installing the WPD before. It could very well be the settings on the PC but I have no clue where to look. |

Did you try to install the printer manually? |

Is their Windows 7 64-bit?
If so that could be the trouble. You will have to install at least the WPD that supports KIP 7.0 software to make it work on 64-bit. _________________ "The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten." - Benjamin Franklin and John Ruskin |

UPDATE: It was the customer's PC. It had it's own issues. He had his IT people update some stuff on it and then I had no problem installing the KIP WPD.... |
