|
|
Hello All,
Ive got a 6000 thats giving me a U-05 code indicating that the process unit or toner cover is open. The problem is that the process unit is closed as is the toner cover also.I know where the switch's are for the toner cover. Im having trouble locating the switch that monitors the open and closed position of the process unit. Can some one help me located the switch so I can check it?
Thanks in advance,

OK,the toner cover sensors are obvious. But I'm not seeing the Process Unit open close sensor. The schematics show it being in front on the right side under the touch pad?? |

If memory serves me correctly you need to take off the top right corner cover off. The touch pad stays on the machine cover goes around the screen. You may be able to slide out the process unit and look behind the cover, but its been awhile since I had to mess with that switch. |

Problem solved. I found the little bugger. The micro switch that monitors open and closed for the process unit is on the right side of the process unit below the rail that it rides on.Completely out of sight without sticking your head in the machine to see it. The actuator is on the outside right of the inner transport behind and below the transfer /separation corona. The actuator got bent and wasn't activating the micro switch. Evidently my moving guy's were pretty rough with the machine.
