We have a 2050 scanner with stand make an offer

Ah, well, I am about 3000 miles west of you (Vancouver, BC, Canada) so I don't think I can do anything about your machine...it would cost more than the project is worth just for the transport...
In actual fact the 2012 seems to be able to do all we need, which is simply scanning large format schematics - assuming I can get it running reliably that is! I like the challenge of getting machines running again you see...
However now I have to find out more info on the interface - what i/o ports it used, interrupts, etc. not sure where to find this info as the service manuals I've found are field service only, not schematics, etc. - would love to get my hands on those!

I know on our old units I was able to get KIP 5.5 to work on Windows XP but I had to do some registry work to get it all talking. KIP no longer supports this product so it's a bit tough.

Sounds like it would be easier if you could find a SCSI scanner models 2050, 2080, 2120 or 2160.

Well, I'm somewhat able to get the scanner running now on 2.0.1 - however the resulting file size is 0KB (not a lot of use). I suspect that 2.0.1 is broken as a result. I can scan and print directly from the KIP 2900 so I know the scanner is putting out image data. The only copy I have of 2.0.x that is uninstalled wants a serial number...

As for 5.5.20 - when I install it (w98SE), even when I tell it to use the Legacy Models setup (2020, 2021, 2022, 2030, 2032, 2035, 2040, and 7095), the install does a SCSI driver. The software is telling me to get the current EPROM for respective models (and I don't know if my unit has the 5.5 version Eprom installed - any ideas on that?). What is in Winscan.ini is for "[9820, 9815, 9810, 7090, 3820, 2900, 2035, 2030, and 2010 configuration]". Perhaps there is another version of 5.5.2 floating around I can use...

I know this is an old post but couldn't find much on this. Can I use the IF PCI card from a 6000 with a 2900 so it can scan? From what I read will also need scsi cable & software in XP PC, is this right?
Thanks
