I've checked the lamps, replaced both thermistors, Solid State Relay, Temp. Detect PCB Assy. I can't get these to go away.

What am I missing?

I had this problem show up once when a bearing/bushing was not on the pressure roller properly and it allowed the pressure roller to fall away from the heat roller. The only other time I had it, thermistors fixed it.

Mark: I'm working on the boat

James: The heat roller is OEM.

TJohnson: I'll have to check those bearings/bushings in the morning.

Thanks.

Here's a new twist. E-01 happens every morning, nothing new. NOW, throughout the day, while in midprint of a bunch of drawings, it'll error out E-01 or E-02 and jam up the printer. User clears jam, reboots printer and it might error out right away, it might be hours...... Going to check them bearings and bushings now. Didn't get a chance this morning.

I have an 8000 that I just decommissioned. I'm pretty sure I can swap the lamps with the 9000, but anyone know for sure? Wonder if I can just swap the entire fuser section. I know the 9000 has a few more metal brackets but I believe the plugs are the same.

Lamps are the same in 9000 and 8000. Not sure on fuser assy yet.

OK, so I replaced the lamps with some used ones and it has actually been good for a couple weeks, but now it's still doing the same thing.

Throwing randwom E-01 and/or E-02 codes. It happens every morning, during start up of a job or even during midprint of a job.

One thing is that the users say that it seems to be trying to warm up alot.

If you haven't already, take a look at all the fuser lamp connections for discoloration indicating high resistance, check all the way back to the SSR's.

Did you ever figure this issue out? And if so what did you find?

I have the same type issue. Errors out (E-01) when warming up each morning. Flip off main power for a second then back on machine warms up.
Print a long run 30- 40 prints and it will error out again. (E-01)
When I watch the temps they start out at 170 and slowly go down during print till they reach 160 then the E-01 error code.

Replaced both Thermistors
Swapped lamps (checked with meter they were good)
Swapped both SSR's
Swapped Phase Control PCB
Swapped Temp. Detect PCB

Still in test mode, but you might not like my strategy..lol. KIP said since I've tried everything, then it's going to be the Main Controller board. They may be right. Since I have two KIP9000, sitting side by side, I decided to swap the controller boards. I did this a couple weeks ago and the errors never came back on the troublesome 9000.

The funny thing is that the good 9000, with the bad 9000's board prints fine also. Never errored out, except every morning it throws an E-F0 error (Folder error), they shut it down and reboot and it never comes back until the next morning. I don't know where the E-F0 error is coming from as both the 9000s have 1200 stackers behind them. Now, I just don't know if my boss wants to dish out for a new controller or leave them as they are.
