We have been using Metaprint to convert to tiffs compatible with the Reprodesk. The internal processing of the 9800 is too slow.
I am seeking to find software capable of converting to the right type of tiff,
I have tried a few that claimed to covert PDF to G4 tiff, but have yet to find on that works correctly.
What do you use? |

We use Kip Request as well, but sometimes it messes with the grays in the PDF when it converts it into a tiff.
Adobe acrobat has a good export feature that will export the PDF into a good grayscale tiff which can be imported into Reprodesk with out further processing.
Depending on the version of Reprodesk you have, the newer one (v2.5.0) has good and fast PDF conversion ability, and exports back out to PDF. |
