Has anyone ever found a real solution to help combat the haze that accumulates on drums over time? We have several clients that get this haze and their enviroments are fine. I currently use 99% isopropyl alcohol and elbow grease to clean them. I hear D-Ink is a good choice too. Any thoughts? I also recall from years back of techs using car wax on drums. I have never tried this, what is it supposed to help with? We have tried removing the ozone filters thinking it was restricting air flow and heat was causing the haze, but no luck.

Any help would be appreciated. We have a client that is trying to get blood out of a stone with their 7700's quality. The 36x60" pattern looks great but the half sizes with lighter line weights that they send say otherwise and the drum/dev roll are fairly new. I think this haze is what is causing the issues.

Pull the ozone filters out, check out all of the cooling fans, is the machine in a room where chemicals are used?

I have always had problems with the 7000(s) used here in production. I use D-Ink most of the time to clean them. NeverDull also works. As far as the cause - never been able to pin-point it.
