kip 700 says out of toner often. change d pizzo sensor and entire hopper from different machine. replaced wiring harness from hopper to connector.keeps comming back even when it has toner still in the hopper? went to go update firmware and recieved a blue screen about the hard drive? i do have a photo image, just cant figure out how to add attachment. was told by another tech its due to my mother board being a from a different manufacture then the software dvd. any suggestions?

I haven't seen this on a 700 but going by the service manual, it seems like you covered the basics. I'm going to guess that the "d pizzo" sensor is the Toner Sensor. You can check the status of it in the Input/Output Mode in Service mode. You say you swapped the entire hopper from a different machine and the toner supply motor resides on the hopper, so I'm guessing it's not the motor. Last thing to check would be the wiring and it seems you've done that too. Since it seems you have two 700s, I would try swapping the PW11720 PCB, next.

As for firmware update/bluescreen/different mobo? Not too sure on that. Did you replace the mobo at one time? If it's all from KIP, I don't see how the software DVD would be incompatible. I'm thinking the Intel/MSI mobos were a thing of the past and if you're using the software dvd that came with your 700, it shouldn't matter.

if my notes are correct the mother board was BIOSTAR G41D-M7
and the software 7.4 dvd was MSI

The software and toner issue are two seperate issues. the software just needs to be updated! the toner problem itself is its own problem. i would be very surprised if software took care of that. when the it locks up and says toner low and it flashes on bottom right corner. it does say it in service mode and all sensors and motors turn on and off in service mode. i have swapped out the entire hopper and wiring harrness and pizzo toner sensor. still an issue. meanwhile the hopper is FULL of toner.
