Any of you smart people guess what's happening here: Insert a document, it scans, but the display in a constant processing mode. POPO is the only way we know of to get out of it. Intermitent problem. Hopefully not a scanner board, but I have had scanner issues previously: alignment issue that the alignment test pattern solved. SW level is 7.2.0.348 Serial# 10514703. Would firmware level 2.1 possibly solve this issue (previous thread). Not sure what the firmware level is - not there and the operator can't find it on the help screen. Any place to purchase it?
Thankx in advance.

Scanner controller board has resolved that issue for me on multiple occasions. |

That not the answer I want see (!). I usually have spare machines for parts but not the 3000, so there isn't a spare board to test the theory. Not sure which type it is, but if there is any of either type floating around out there, please let me know. Firmware is version 2. I may just replace this thing with a 700.
\Thankx,

I have been able to get several of those scanners working properly by doing that firmware upgrade, but I've also had a couple that required the board be replaced.
You can open and close the fuser cover to stop the scan process instead of powering it off and on, it cuts down the wait time. |
