|

Here at our office we usually print out sheets at 36' X 24' and for the most part we never have problems. However, whenever I print a set of plans with larger dimensions such as 46' X 30' as an example, the pages begin to come out fine and then will begin cutting incorrectly and I'll eventually begin hearing a sound as if the paper is being crumbled up inside.
The end result will be pages with uneven dimensions and I have to stop the machine and line up the paper again.
Has anyone else been experiencing these issues and if so, is there anything you could recommend to resolve this problem.
Thanks,
Dan |

There is a KIP service bulletin. The Fuser speeds most likely wrong.
Also other things to check. Do you know how to enter service mode and change settings? |

Thanks Bigal,
I believe I do know how to enter the service mode to check the settings; what should I look for? |

The prints start to cut uneven and then crinkling throughout the machine can be heard, right? Sometimes there is a 1" fold in the middle of the print but you'll notice that the image isn't folded, which means that the fold is happening before the drum. Replace the Clutch Brake Assy (Part# 4612N-0) on the right side and the clutch (Part# 7106704020) on the left side of the resister roller. This is the roller that you see with the rubber rollers when you open up the process unit. Use a rubber cleaner and clean up the rubber rollers on this shaft also. |
