Shims in place and still this 3000 drops rolls like they didn't even know they were there. not sure what to do now. used new rolls and had to shim the sides so i had that step done. Also dropping in the middle of printing. changed out the transfer seperation wires as well. please let me know if you have any other suggestions. Thank you.

T/S had nothing to do with it. Is it a two roll? If so, figure out which one is dropping and swap them to see if it's the spindle or the paper. What I would check is if the spindle is loose inside of the paper core. I would make sure the gripper "teeth" has a good hold of the inside of the paper core. If the spindle is loose, it will drop the paper, or if your unlucky, it'll pull the entire roll of paper through the machine. Sometimes the inside diameter of the paper core might be warped or just a tad bit too big so the spindle doesn't get a good grip. Overall, just make sure that the spindle is not moving around inside of the paper core.

If you haven't updated the spindles this kit will solve most dropouts caused by the spindle.....Z098090050

We had good results elongating the slot/hole on the spindle where it stops the gripper allowing the spring to push a bit further out against the core and then sharpening the grabber tips with just by filing them. We found the newer paper cores were smoother and slipperier than older ones, so we needed to increase the grip

A bit of a pain but saves have to buy the revised spindle.

Purchasing the revised spindle is not necessary, just the kit....or use a dremel or a file or a small explosive charge or.........
