I was trying to restore from CD and all i got was this error saying it couldn't find a file. A:\GHOSTERR.TXT. I tried several other CDS to restore and all came up with this same thing. While in norton Ghost. This is a 1240 Serial Number older 7100. I had to restore it after a hard drive crash. Also upgraded the memory to 2GB. But all those things look good in the BIOS. Please let me know ASAP if you have any idea what i might be doing wrong or need to do.

Do you have any USB devices plugged in? They can cause this error.

Try to disconnect all usb devices other than what is needed. Do not use a usb hub either.

You should be able to use an external USB CD/DVD but do not use a usb hub and disconnect any other usb devices. I have seen it cause this error.
