|
|
I was trying to restore from CD and all i got was this error saying it couldn't find a file. A:\GHOSTERR.TXT. I tried several other CDS to restore and all came up with this same thing. While in norton Ghost. This is a 1240 Serial Number older 7100. I had to restore it after a hard drive crash. Also upgraded the memory to 2GB. But all those things look good in the BIOS. Please let me know ASAP if you have any idea what i might be doing wrong or need to do. |

Do you have any USB devices plugged in? They can cause this error. |

I hooked up the cd rom directly to the usb on the back of the IPS |

Try to disconnect all usb devices other than what is needed. Do not use a usb hub either. |

You should be able to use an external USB CD/DVD but do not use a usb hub and disconnect any other usb devices. I have seen it cause this error. |
