I see there is some info on the net if you google that error number. When we get that code while running certain pdfs for customers we end up having to use the windows driver instead of request or print, if that is what the customer uses. I'm not sure if any of this info is helpful, but it appears it is an authentication issue.

It does look like an authentication or security issue. Some things to look at:

Are they printing the .pdfs directly off the web? I've seen people do this and it will error out, but if they download the files to their local PC and submit them, then it will print.

Or, they are protected and you can't print them at all.

HINT: If you have a protected .pdf, it will not print using the windows driver, but Request (for some reason) is able to bypass the security and is able to print some protected .pdfs.
