I have a new 3002 running well love the machine

my question is with 36 inch paper loaded in the front position and 24 inch paper loaded in the rear position -when the machine runs out of paper on the front roll it will auto switch to the short roll and cut off the image.

am I missing something here? there should be a way to change the way this works. I will be searching the manual{s} some more.

Thanks for any assistance.

Have you configured the 2nd roll as 24" paper in the interface? It defaults to 36" and if you leave it at that value it will do what you are describing.
