Well, the scanner is just fine. I've narrowed this issue down to direct color copy to an HP 5000. It seems the IPS software has a bug of some sort that is turning copies green. Kip is working on it.
The "Kip Color" software seems to work great for color copy to HPs and scanning to file. This moves scanning away fromt he touch panel and onto an STF PC but at least there's a workaround. _________________ Neil Johnston

I have the same problem on our 2200. We have to darken all scans to -10 to get them to be a more true black. Shading sometimes helps but not for long. Also putting the settings from line/photo to just line helps. _________________ DSC |

Im sitting with 2 scanners with this problem, replaced the 3 lamps on the one and it corrected the problem, now just need lamps for the other.
Obviously this is only the reason if scan-to-file also comes out green. If its only scan to print then its software, which I have no answer for. |

This may be a bit elementary for the pros here....but our blacks were green, shading would fix it for awhile. We started digging into the scanner, thinking we were going to replace the lamps when we discovered the mirrors were completely filthy. I cannot believe the scanner was actually still working and producing decent images for how dirty the mirrors were.
Cleaned the mirrors, ran shading, the blacks are back.
Hope this helps! |
