Just started yesterday. When starting our Kip 3100 we get. "No Signal" No Analog Signal" "Going to sleep" The built in display monitor doesn't display anything on the screen.
The little digital display under the front snap on cover says warming up then printer ready. But still nothing on the main display. The printer will not print. we are printing through the ip port. Printer is being shared through a
peer to peer setup. Printer is shared through a vista computer and others are using windows 7. All drivers up to date.
Is this a service call problem or is their a quick work around to fix this issue?
Any thoughts?? |

| Sounds like the IPS is not functioning properly. No quick fix for that. |

Yes, I believe it is the IPS controller. Just like your workstation computer, when you shut down the computer and leave the monitor on, it'll say "No signal" or "No analog signal" because the monitor has lost communication with the computer/controller, therefore the monitor will be
"Going to Sleep". First thing I would do is take the cover off and see if the controller is powering on. If so, reconnect all the USB and VGA cables. You'll always get the message of "No signal" before the IPS starts when you boot up the printer because the monitor powers up before the controller. Once the controller boots up, the images will be shown on the screen. If there is no image even after waiting for a few minutes then somehow you've lost communication. If this doesn't fix it, then I would get a regular computer monitor and hook it up to the controller and see if it'll show up on that monitor. |
