Hello, i have a 5000 that has a e-04 which is a developer error. took out dev unit to check all gears they are fine. the dc motor for the developer unit has a high pitch to it. i took off the cover to get to the motor and un plug and replug and restart printer i held my hand on the motor and it i could feel that the motor is bound up could that happen or would it just die.

| Had this on a 6000, basically same machine. Dev motor Driver board was bad. A gear had broken on developer unit and locked it up and burned out board. Motor will screech when the driver board goes bad! |
