This is a spare 6000 dev unit that has been giving me grief. I have tried different dev rolls with the same result. Checked to see if there is a special pressurization procedure for the regulation roller. When you look closely, you can see excess toner on the dev roller, in that area. Has anyone seen this? Do i need a new regulation roll? Or am I missing something else?
Thanks

I have seen this several times. The only way we have been able to fix it is to order the KIP 6000 Developer Upgrade Kit. See TB-K96-018, dealer cost now about $2,250.00 |

Looks like the wiper is cleaning the regulation roller properly.
I've seen a similar issue on the KIP 3100's 2 times and it was the regulation roller both times. |

I have also seen this when the screws that hold the pressure down for reg rollers are not tight enough or the nut that is embedded in the plastic housing get stripped out. |

the toner on the paper appears to have a pattern to it. check the gears associated with the regulation roller. check the developer seal on that end for pinching. use mylar strips or feeler guage to check space between reg roller and dev roller. _________________ Ride To Live |

You probably have a drag in the drive of the regulation roller. The extra torque can cause the regulation roller to actually lift off of the developer roller during rotation. This will allow too much toner to come out onto the dev roller on one side. I have seen this on many occasions. Most likely a bad bearing somewhere. on that side. _________________ What we have gained in technology, we have lost in humanity. |
