Hello my friends,
When I scan a document that is close to the edge ( about 1/4 inch) it scans the image bleed edge. It will not scan that border all around. I have worked with kip scanners for a few years now and know that that there is enough border on some of these document for them to scan properly. I was told to go into some folder and change the "I and O" values to zero. I am not sure what this is or if this is reccomended. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you |

| Go to the WinScan.ini then find StripLeading###DPI=#. I have all of my StripLeading set to 0, regardless of DPI. When I change it to 50, and scan a drawing, it brings the leading edge border half the distance closer to the paper edge. @ 100, I am almost (as you say) bleed edge. KIP told me about this a long time ago, and you should have no issues with experimenting by putting in diffferent numbers if you want to take the time to set a number, scan, measure and reset. It will not hurt anything. |

| Thank very much for the reply. I was wondering if you would be so kind as to tell me how to get to the WinScan.ini ? I have no Idea. I will change the values to zero and tell how how this works. This problem is not only and the leading edge its all around. i have been scanning a lot of 30 inch pages that had a good enough border to scan some border in my experience, but it just scanned close to the edge all around. If you would not mind telling me a sequence to find the WinScan.ini i would really appreciate it.... Thank you |

On the Scan-To-File PC:
C:\Program Files\KIP\Scan
The WinScan.ini is inside the Scan folder.
If you are having issues all around, try playing with the StripTrailing also. |
