Is this machine some kind of joint venture between ricoh and kip? I'm scheduled for training on this one soon and cant help but notice the layout and design are from the ricoh digital units?

The 700 is an evolution of the 1880/1900 as far as I can tell... converted to digital, of course. Not too bad so far. The first units we received were buggy, now they work well out of the box.

I can certianly see a lot of prospects as far as buyers for one of these.

It certainlylooks as if it was designed by the same crew who did the ricoh units... the way the covers are designed and stuff like the catch tray/panic stop molded handles into side and stand as well as the scanner are the same as the ricohs...looks like a kip developer unit for sure though.
I just hope it uses a better quality or cheaper prices drum than the ricoh 240w did... What good is a low cost machine if it costs twice as much to maintain?
