I thought I'd post a hint I used to know, but recently had to look up. To toggle the Kip 2900 scanner from ANSI scan widths (34",22" 17" etc.) to Architectural widths (36", 24" 18" etc) press and release these keys in order: C * 0

Maybe you misunderstood. The keys to press are C then * then 0.
I wasn't asking, I was making a note for anyone else who might be looking for this.
