hi my kip2000 gives error E-28 on startup , which is the Fan i believe
( right hand side top fan ) this is stationary and does not turn , however after the error show up on the panel , the motor switches on and runs .
i belive their is some sort of sensor being triggerd if the fan is not running
anyone have a circuit diagram of the pcb's or can help drill down this fault further , it was working fine untill we moved the machine from one end of the shop
Thanks |

The E-28 usually points to the fuser agitator fan. That is the fan that runs the width of the machine and blows the hot air around the inside of the fuser area to fuse the toner to the paper. Most of the time the bearings wear out and lock up the fan and the spring that is in between the 2 barrel fans breaks. Whan this happens it will cause the e-28.
Look for the motor on the right side that attaches to this agitator fan. This will lead you to that area.
Also with the e-28 error, sometimes you have to mask the code to get it to come back up. And sometimes the thermostat goes bad and needs replaced. |
