Kyocera: KM 3650W unit (KIP 3000): After warm up I get the "Ready to Copy" status. When an original in placed on the scanner the unit pulls in the lead edge, then the Op Panel flashes "Scanner is communicating with the Controller". Can print without a problem, but cannot make copies.

Can't find anything about this message in the User or Service documentation...Any suggestions?

Try these:

1. Confirm that the scanner is connected correctly and cover is closed properly.
2. Confirm that the "Printer Only" button is not pressed in Service Mode.
3. Confirm you have correct keycodes
